The brake is a DC coil. When powered by AC power, it must be connected with a rectifier to convert the AC power into DC power for the electromagnetic brake to work.
Normally, the power supply of the brake is controlled on the AC side of the rectifier. If rapid braking of the brake is required, the brake should be controlled on the DC side of the rectifier (connect a switch synchronized with the motor power supply in series on the DC side of the rectifier) .
Our company has developed a rectifier that can directly realize rapid braking, and can realize rapid braking when the AC side of the rectifier is powered off.
